Such an amazing way to kick off wedding season!! I love, love, LOVE capturing all of the emotion that surrounds a wedding day! But there is absolutely nothing I enjoy more than being a part of surprises. There were two HUGE surprise plans I was able to take part in on Breanna and Kyle’s big day.
First off, Breanna went wedding dress shopping with her family months before the wedding, and ‘thought’ she found the perfect dress. Something about it just didn’t feel right. While picking up her bridesmaids dresses, she discovered why!! The ‘perfect’ dress was still waiting at the store! It was love at first sight, and she immediately knew this was THE dress she had to get married in. We spent the day letting her family and other bridesmaids believe she was getting married in the first dress, so we could have a big reveal in her actual dress! The expressions on mom and grandma’s face when seeing the new dress for the first time was absolutely priceless!!
My absolute favorite part of the entire day was when I was able to witness Breanna giving Kyle THE best gift ever! Something I think many of us take for granted on a day to day basis is the ability to enjoy the colors around us. Kyle has been color blind his entire life, which means he can’t decipher between the colors green and red. Most everything he sees is green to him. Those gorgeous rainbows we all adore?? Only green, yellow, and blue in his eyes. Breanna was so heartbroken that he could not fully enjoy a sunset with her–she set out on a mission to make this happen. She was able to surprise him with glasses with special lenses that allowed Kyle to see all the colors for the very first time in his life. Yes…bring on the tears!! I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of this heart touching, overwhelming moment in their lives!!!
Of course we went on to enjoy the rest of the evening with the most beautiful flowers, a stunning candy bar, and an AMAZING DJ still spinning records. Seriously though, how cool is that?!
Can I just say, I LOVE my job?! Not only do I get to be a part of ‘the best day ever’, but I get to share in totally life changing experiences as well. Seriously… Best. Job. Ever.
